My Story
As an interior designer I have always been obsessed with combining all the elements that make a space feel inviting, cohesive, and beautiful, with just the right amount of “pow” to make it sing. And while I designed corporate office spaces, I am always the one that gets invited to come to your house and rearrange the furniture, hang up your artwork, and tell you what needs to be added or deleted so the space will work.
As I’ve changed from designer to artist and creator over the last few years I came to realize that I do the same thing with my art.
I think of my work as exploring the space between stillness and movement. I’m really interested in how calm can still feel alive — how a painting can hold energy without being loud. My process is intuitive, and I build the work slowly through layers, subtle shifts in tone, and marks that suggest structure but don’t fully define it.
Flow is a big idea for me, both in how I work and what I want people to feel when they experience the paintings. I want the work to invite people to slow down, spend time with it, and notice the quieter relationships happening in the composition. Ultimately, I hope the paintings create a sense of ease — like a moment where everything feels balanced and present.
